Do i have to have the same mailing address as my dependent?

I have lived with my boyfriend for the last 5 yrs, however our mailing addresses were different. 6 months ago i changed my mailing address to match his. Am i still able to claim him as a dependent?

Yes, as long as he meets the requirements to be a dependent. However, since one of these is that you live together the entire year, the IRS may question the address change. And using the wrong address for so long could have impacted your state/local taxes.
