Maybe.....you have not provided any information about how much your pension income was. Lots of retired people still have to file tax returns even if they did not work.

If your taxable pension, box 2a on the Form 1099-R, is less that the Standard Deduction for your filing status you do not have to file a tax return. However, if you have federal taxes withheld from the pension, box 4 on the Form 1099-R you should file to report the federal taxes withheld and get a refund if eligible.
To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button
