If your alimony is designated as such, then yes, it is taxable.

Child support is not.

To enter alimony you received: 

 Federal>Wages & Income>Less Common Income>Alimony Received

To enter alimony you paid: 

 Federal>Deductions and Credits>Other Deductions and Credits>Alimony Paid
