Do I have to answer Yes to the TT question asking if I've experienced identity theft in the years after it occurred?

I experienced ID theft in the past, but the TurboTax question doesn't specify the time period for which I'm answering the question.  I answered Yes when using TT for the year it happened. Do I still need to answer Yes? Thank you!

No, you don't need to answer yes.  TurboTax uses the question to determine whether or not you need an IP PIN to file your tax return.  If you do need to enter an IP PIN, you would've received your IP PIN during January.  You can also access your IP PIN via your IRS account online.   Additionally, the time period the questions is asking about is for the current tax year.

No, you don't need to answer yes.  TurboTax uses the question to determine whether or not you need an IP PIN to file your tax return.  If you do need to enter an IP PIN, you would've received your IP PIN during January.  You can also access your IP PIN via your IRS account online.   Additionally, the time period the questions is asking about is for the current tax year.
