Do i have to add my spouses income to my return when filing married jointly or can he file jointly and add his W2 but leave mine out on his end ?

If you are choosing to both file Married Filing Joint, there will only be one return (with both of you on there) and both W-2's will need to be on the return. This is the opposite of choosing to file Married Filing Separately. When choosing to file Married Filing Separately, you and your husband will file one return each, and the W-2's will be filed with the respective return.
