Do i file married filing together even though my wife didnt work in 2022? If i do, will it claim her as a dependent?

When i do it this way, it automatically says shes a dependent but everyone and everything says you cannot claim your spouse as a dependent. So im confused.

married filing jointly is usually best especially when one spouse has no income. a spouse is never a dependent

In my info, list your wife as "spouse".
