They are the same thing. There is no divorced status. You file as Single. Turbo Tax has divorced so it will ask you extra questions like if you get alimony. Did you file 2018 as Single?
There is no official filing status as "divorced". For the IRS you are either single, married, or head of household.
Turbotax includes "divorced" because that will prompt Turbotax to ask you about alimony and things like that. But it doesn't change anything important.
If you are unmarried as of 12/31/2019, you will file as single, unless you qualify to file as head of household.
