Do I check the box YES under Wages & Salaries?
Last year 2015 tax return I retired Jan 30 so I had 1 month wages, but I also had 11 months pension. This year 2016 I had 12 months pension & no wages. Do I check the box YES under Wages & Salaries?

No, you do not check "yes" if you do not have a form W-2.
You would only enter your pension under retirement section:
- Federal Taxes
- Wages and Income
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
- Select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plans (1099-R)
