In March I divorced and at the end of March we sold our home. The divorce states that we will file jointly for this year.
In July I purchased a home, in my name alone (divorce was final by then).
How will this be reflected in the tax filing when we are filing jointly but one thing is related to me only.

Unfortunately some judges are not acquainted with tax law. If you are divorced on December 31, 2022, you cannot, by law, file married, jointly.
Thank you for your reply. I think this will be easier and more straightforward for me. Do you know the law that I can reference for this in case my ex thinks I'm making things up?
From Pub 17 page 23
Divorced persons. If you are divorced under a final decree by the last day of the year, you are considered unmarried for the whole year and you can’t choose married filing jointly as your fil- ing status.
