Will you advise whether or not IRS accepts tax returns by mail?

The IRS accepts returns by mail but urges anyone who can to file by efile. There was a huge backlog of unprocessed mailed returns which the IRS is gradually reducing. They have not indicated when they will get caught up with the backlog.

IN certain circumstances, you cannot e-file and have to file by mail.

Yes, the IRS accepts tax returns filed by mail, but the processing time is much longer, 8 weeks or more, especially during these Covid-19 times.
