Did anyone get an incorrect amount for taxes due on their federal return with TurboTax?

What happened? Remember---this is "do-it-yourself" tax software, and the results are based on the information entered by the user. Did the IRS or state change your refund? or tax due amount? Did they send you a letter?

I received a letter from the IRS and a check for $900+. This was based on the information on my 1040. The gross income and taxable income used by the IRS was the same.

Do you have to pay your taxes federal and state before TurboTax will file your taxes considering I’ve already paid them $146 to file my federal and state taxes?
