You didn't say what the problem is with the calculation of your taxable Social Security benefits. What do you think is wrong? Did you get a notice from the IRS saying that your taxable Social Security benefits are wrong? If so, did it also say that there were any other errors on your tax return? The taxable amount of Social Security benefits depends on your other income, so an error in other income could have made your taxable Social Security benefits wrong.
If line 6a on your Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR has an amount, but line 6b is zero, you might have answered a question incorrectly. After you enter your SSA-1099 in TurboTax there is a question that asks if you lived in one of eight countries listed in the question, and are a U.S. citizen. If you mistakenly answered Yes to that question, the taxable Social Security on line 6b would be zero.
