Although the forms availability table indicates that Form 4562 is ready to e-file, the final update for depreciation calculations for Schedule E Rentals has not been released yet. The updates for Schedule E Rentals should be available the software should be updated after 02/11/26, but our tech team is working hard to have those updates before that date.
Thank you for your patience.
Still not available as of 2/12/26. What is going on? I need to file my taxes.
We are hoping by this weekend, if not before. We don't have a specific date.
Why do you keep misinforming and leading your customers on?
No update as of this morning 2/14/26. Quite frustrating to have to wait on this, when I could have paid many other companies or services and been done. I will be rethinking this next year for sure.
Frustrating as we still don't have a great answer, but Catina's answer "We are hoping by this weekend, if not before. We don't have a specific date." has been the most honest and human I've gotten so far.
I checkout out exporting and importing to H&R though.
It’s 1 day after TT said the form 4562 would be available, and my desktop program is still saying it’s unavailable. Wondering if the issue is on my end or TurboTax? I will be requesting a refund from Intuit either way.
Has there been any news or updates on this? It is still showing the same message.

That section (Schedule E) in TurboTax is still in process and updates are expected to be available next week with the end of the week updates.
Information from the 'Learn More' link in TurboTax Desktop and TurboTax Online: Why isn't this section available right now?
Each year, the IRS updates the form used for federal tax. There are also updates to both federal and state tax returns due to new laws passed by both federal and state governments.
As these changes are finalized, the IRS and state tax authorities send us instructions that we review to determine what areas of TurboTax need to be updated. We work on these updates as soon as we get the instructions, but sometimes the changes are a big deal, and it takes some time to ensure everything is updated correctly.
We need to make some areas of TurboTax unavailable while we work on these updates. We do this to ensure the tax return you file is 100% accurate. One we've completed all of the required updates for a section, we'll let you know through email so you can jump back in and finish up your return.
I bought this Desktop version of Home & Business since Nov-2025, and feel like begging for every form or waiting for updates. This is so frustrating, many folks already began getting refund on other platforms. I used TaxAct for years and switched to TurboTax this time to prepare ahead with Desktop-version, but it seems like I might have made mistake by switching to Turbo now.
At least knowing, it is not "only me problem/installation" for 4562 on Desktop version is relief.
I've been advised today by management that the work on the depreciation section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming the evening of Thursday, February 19th.
Can you let me know if this changes?

Thanks for the update, but wow. The release has now been pushed back three weeks. Not acceptable, and you're losing trust from a longtime TT user.
