Did you have insurance through Healthcare.gov? If so, you would have received a 1095-a. That needs to be entered in order for Form 8962 to be calculated.
You can go to your account on healthcare.gov and print out your 1095-a, if needed.
I did not have insurance through them. Mine was through Mercer marketplace 365 and I was told they don’t send out those forms. My dependent has GA CareSource Medicaid and they said they don’t send them out either. I tried to delete the form off my taxes and refuse but it was rejected again for the same reason.
Have you checked Healthcare.gov to see what they have on file?
I made an account but to search for an application on there you have to have an application ID, which I don’t have.
If you can get an acknowledgment through eFile, you will have to paper file your return.
What does that mean? An acknowledgment through e file?
Your return is either acknowledged or rejected. If it keeps getting rejected, you will have no option but to paper file.
Where can I go to paper file? And won’t the same issue keep popping up if I paper file? Can I still claim my dependent and my unborn child tax exemption if I paper file?
You will need to delete your Form 8962 and then this article will show explain how to paper file: How to print and mail your return
You can still claim your dependent, but this is the first mention of claiming an unborn child. You can not claim an unborn child as a dependent.
