My husbands parent passed away November of 2024. Everything was closed except a small checking account before the end of 2024. A final return was filed in 2025.
There was no tax number generated for the trust because everything was distributed except the checking account, (taxes were filed by an accounting firm). We have received a 1099-INT in the name of the trust with the parent social security number in the amount of $242.00, I can not find definitive clarification on what needs to be done.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks that was one of the answers I found. But wasn't sure.
