Death of spouse

My wife passed away this April,  we always filled jointly.   She had a business on the side, but didn't file taxes on that business.   Now I have been informed I have to pay the taxes.  My question is am I responsible?  Do I simply need to amended the taxes for that year?  Please advise.   Thank you.

My sadness to you.  I am sorry for your loss.  How many years do you know she had the side business?  You may need to amend prior years to report the income.  Based upon the information, it appears to be a 1040, Schedule C which turbo tax can do for you as well.  If you are filing married joint in those prior years, then you will amend with 1040X and still indicate the same marital status.  Hopefully this helps.
