W2 state wages are greater than federal wages causing efile error

Open your TurboTax return and look at your W-2 entry in 'Wages & Income'.

It sounds like a typo.. check the Box 1 Wages amount.

The State Wages in Box 16 should be the same amount as Box 1.  You could delete and re-enter the Box 16 amount.

Unless you worked in more than one state.

Then try to Efile again.

Open your TurboTax return and look at your W-2 entry in 'Wages & Income'.

It sounds like a typo.. check the Box 1 Wages amount.

The State Wages in Box 16 should be the same amount as Box 1.  You could delete and re-enter the Box 16 amount.

I tried this as same thing happened to me but it was still pulling from the W-2 from employer that had the error.  I typed in correct - it was off by 1 number and would not let me file

Currently my box one is lower than my box 16. I worked in Missouri for part of the year, and I also moved from Missouri to Kansas.
