Connecting 2024 Taxes to 2025

How can I connect my turbo tax information from 2024 to this year's 2025 turbo tax. Both are on my desktop and on Mac. I don't see a file on my laptop that says .tax2024 but only a .pdf return from 2024. My 2024 pdf is password protected.

To transfer data from 2024 to 2025 you needthe .xxxtax2024 file, not the PFF of your return, which is mostly useless.

with desktop versions of the app, the tax file only exists on your computer. TurboTax does not have a copy.
