Clarification on claiming my 91 year old mother as a dependant
My 91 year old mother lived with me 5 months in 2016. I pay mortgage, utilities, by auto gasoline. She's buys groceries with her retirement, SSI & pension money that she get monthly. Can I claim her as a dependant?

You may be able to claim her if her pension/retirement and other income (not including Social Security) is less than $4,050 for 2016 and you paid for over half of her total support for the year.
