claiming my son as dependent even when he made W-2 internship in 2019
I have been claiming my son as dependent. He is still a student but in 2019 he did summer internship and made around $6500 in W-2 inclome.
Should he still file taxes? if yes, Which tax form he needs to file 1040ex, 1040a, 1040 etc?

Everyone now files the same 1040 return. If he is under 24 you can still claim him. If he only has W2 income under 12,200 he doesn't have to file except to get back any withholding taken out in box 2 and 17. Be sure on his return he checks the box that says he can be claimed on someone else's return.
To start another return in the Desktop program go upnto File-New
