I am an international student holding F-1 visa. I became resident alien around March 2020. In the summer of 2020, I had a 9-week internship. Recently I received the W-2 form from the internship company. Then I realized I claim "tax exempt status" by mistake at beginning of my internship. So I have $0 tax withheld (all taxes: SS, Medicare and Federal/State) for my intern income.
I contacted my internship company. They told me it is too late to give me the amended W-2 now (Feb, 4th, 2021). I am wondering can I pay arrears through 2020 tax reporting, or I can do anything before tax reporting. Thanks!

Hi. Thanks for the help. But sprintax is for nonresident alien. I am resident alien (I passed substantial presence test ).
According to IRS, "If you are a U.S. resident alien, you use the same forms and mailing addresses as U.S. citizens. You can use the same filing statuses available to U.S. citizens. You can claim the same deductions allowed to U.S. citizens if you are a resident alien for the entire tax year."
Your situation requires you to complete Form 8919 with your Form 1040 to calculate your portion of the social security and medicare tax that was not withheld by your internship employer.
The instructions for Form 8919 also require you to submit Form SS-8 to the IRS with your tax return which will notify them that the employer share of the taxes were not withheld as well.
Any unpaid tax after all allowable deductions and credits can be paid by April 15th, 2021 or by credit card or by installment agreement with the IRS. How Can I Pay My Tax
