Charged but couldn't file taxes. Refund?

In the beginning of filing. I was charged $89+ for something I never used. I was unable to file my taxes through TurboTax & have to file an amended. Yet I'd like a refund for the 95.50 I was charged

The TT online fees is for the use of the program to complete a return that can be filed even if you mail it in ... efiling successfully is not guarantee.  Once paid there is no refunding of the online fees.  If you now need to amend you can download the amendment program for free to use in the amendment process.

To contact TurboTax customer service/support use their contact website during business hours.  If the problem concerns any type of refund for fees, use the key words billing issues and do Not use the word Refund or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.

How did you file your tax return?  Why couldn't you use Turbo Tax?  If you could not efile you could have printed and mailed it.  You can not amend unless the first original return was fully processed and you got the refund or paid the tax due.  

What were you charged for?  The Online version or did you buy the Desktop program?  Do you want to use Turbo Tax to do the amended return?

I can't tell what you did, and no one here can see your file.  You may need to call customer support.  

If you paid the filing fee to use Turbotax online, that payment will stay on your account and will allow you to file your tax return when filing is turned on (usually late January) and assuming you have all your documents and have finished your return.  Even though you paid, you can go back to your file any time to make additions and corrections, it's not final until you transmit the final finished return, and that won't be ready for another month.
