I wanted to change the license code for TurboTax Business last year for a second copy used for a different business. I couldn't find anyway to do it. I even completely uninstalled the software and reinstalled, but it would sdtay linked to the oild licenses and not let me change. I saw someone say something about finding a way in Help, but can't find anything. I'd prefer not to have to use a completely separate computer to do this.

Why do you think you need to do that? The copy you have is good to prepare more than one tax return. You do not need a new license or new software program for every return you prepare for the same tax year.
However, you do need a new software program for each tax year. You cannot use a 2023 program to prepare a return for 2024.
I don't want to run 2024 on 2023. I wanted to change my license for business 2023 last year. I had two licenses for the same software (different businesses). I was forced to work on two different computers since I could not change the license on my primary computer no matter what I tried..
You should be able to use the same download on more than one computer if YOU own the computer.

You don’t need another license or computer to do more than 1 personal or business return. The personal program can do unlimited returns and efile 5 federal for free. The rest you can print and mail. And you can use the same program, All the personal Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.
BUSINESS
For federal you can use one Business program. You have to buy the state Business program separately from inside the federal program.
Preparing state tax returns for more than one business?
When they are the same types of businesses (such as two S Corps) and file taxes in the same state, buy one state product and use for all at no extra charge. Business State efile included.
When they are the same types of businesses (such as more than one LLC), but file taxes in different states, buy one product per state for $55. Business State efile included.
When they are different types of businesses (such as an S Corp and a partnership) and file taxes in the same state, purchase one product for each business type for $55 per each business type. Business State efile included.

TurboTax Business State products are sold separately by state and entity type. With each TurboTax Business State product, you can complete returns for more than one business only if they are the same entity
Don’t know about the Business program but for personal programs, There is a way to have 2 licenses. Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product. Don't know what that will do or what benefit you will get. Don't think it will allow you to efile more than 5.
And why do you need another Business program to do another business return? One program license can do all the different business returns for federal. You have to buy each state. Are you trying to efile more than 5?
Well yes. I have mutliple businesses and I needed more than 5. I actually like to keep the licenses for some of the entities separate, but I would still need more than 5, so I had a second license. I couldn't use that license on the same computer because I couldn't remove or change the license.
I can not find any switch product/license link under help with Business, and I looked carefully.
