Cannot open Turbotax 2016 on Mac after new Sierra update. Opened prior to update. Security features set to all app store and identified developers. No "anyone" option.

update - I found the answer with the following, 

"TurboTax 2016[891]: filepath:/Users/xxxxxx/Library/Application Support/TurboTax Home & Business 2016
TurboTax 2016[891]: Terminate called after uncaught c++ exception:

Where xxxxxx is my login name.

I fixed the problem by deleting the "/Users/LauraMac/Library/Application Support/TurboTax Home & Business 2016" folder. Relaunch TurboTax and all is well."

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!  I have spent hours trying to reinstall TurboTax 2016 on my 2020 MacBook Pro on Catalina (with NO Optical Drive and would not recognize by Apple external Optical drive I have.   This fixed it!  THANK YOU AGAIN!
