Cannot efile either State of Federal taxes due to problem with North Carolina Special Apportionment??

Turbo Tax says I cannot efile because some forms cannot be filed electronically.  North Carolina is state, butthere is some form (I think Special Apportionments) that keeps coming up.  I have no idea where it came from, have never seen it before.  I have been using TT for at least 20 years, and have never had a problem before.  Apparently, I am not the only one having issues with NC tax

Looks like somehow a Form 8958 is included for no reason. " Community Property Split Withholding" even though I file Single and don't live in a community Property state (NC).  That's what is stopping me filing.  I cannot delete the 8958.  It comes back immediately even though there's nothing on it except my name and SSAN

That is a puzzle.  I added it to one of my test returns, and I couldn't find anything to turn off that prompted it.

If you haven't filed yet, you might need to delete the whole file and start over.

(unless someone else finds a place to remove it)

One thing to try again is to open the form...then just under the boxes for the spouse's name are two checkboxes Yes and No.   Make sure neither of those is checked before attempting to delete the form.   That might or might not work.

Thank you for your Reply.  I tried it about a week or so ago, but didn't pull the trigger and file then.  Everything was working then.  Now, I think there have been at least 2 Updates since then, so I'm thinking it must have been one of them.  Neither of the boxes you mentioned was checked, I checked and unchecked them, but didn't change anything.  Appreciate the help.  I hate to start over, but I might just file by mail and worry about it next year.  Thank you.
