Cancel submission of federal return

I just completed and submitted by 2017 Federal 1040 return at approx. 6:00 p.m. CST yesterday (3/18/18).  I discovered an error on line 62 that will have a large impact on my return.

The return has been approved (received confirming email).

I realize I need to amend my return, but wondering if by chance there is a 24 hour cancellation process available by chance???

If not, once I amend I'm assuming I refile (efile)?

Unfortunately, once your return has been accepted by the IRS the only option you have is to file an amended return on Form 1040X.  It is recommended you allow the IRS time to fully process your original return before filing your amendment.
