You can file now if all your forms are finalized. Once you are logged in and inside of your
return, click on Review to
the left, it should show you which forms in your return are not yet available
and the date they should become available.
However, the IRS has put out a notice that they will not be accepting any type of 2017 tax return until January 29, 2017 (unless they pull a few returns from tax preparation
company servers for testing.) Right now federal returns that have been filed are sitting on the TurboTax servers waiting for the IRS to start accepting tax
returns. So there is not rush to file right now unless you're hoping to be a test case (not recommended).
If you file now you'll need to return to the program to ensure your state
return has been filed once your federal is accepted. Here
