Can you recommend the best turbotax version for US citizens that are residents abroad? I am struggling to find the right way to file. Thank you.

If you have Foreign Earned Income then you will need the TurboTax online edition of Deluxe or higher.  If your income is only from a US source then start with the Free edition and upgrade as required when entering your tax data.
