Can you please explain why we are being charged 40.00 for turbo tax fees and then charged another 40.00 for turbo tax fees

Did you file before March 1?  There was just a price increase and Deluxe went from 40 to 60.  And state went from 40 to 50.

As of March 1,

Deluxe is $60

State is also a separate 50 in all versions above the Free Edition

If you select to have the fees deducted from your refund there is an EXTRA 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge (44.99 for California).
