Can you do sample tax returns with Turbotax on-line before and after you submit your return to look at other scenarios?

Do not try that using the account and user ID you used to prepare your own return that you filed or you will destroy your return.

When you use online TurboTax software you get one return per fee.

Each return needs its own email, account and user ID.   If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, the second one overwrites the first return and it is lost forever.

The desktop download software is much better suited to creating "dummy" returns to try out various scenarios.

User @VolvoGirl recently tried creating an online "dummy" account:

I started by entering a fake email address to Create Account
Had to enter my phone # to get code
Entered a password
GOT IN!
Then I clicked on Intuit Account bottom of left side
Then to Sign in & security
Then to User ID - change from fake email to a new user name
Then I changed the Email address from the fake email to my real email
It all worked! Logged out.
