Can you answer my question about why you are charging me for deluxe?

Depending on what your tax situation was last year, you may need to new tax forms to claim the same deductions, credits, or forms of income due to the new tax laws. Some of those forms that are now available in TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax Live Deluxe, instead of in Free Edition, include: 

• Student loan interest deduction 

• Retirement savings contribution credit 

• Education credits 

• Child & dependent care credit
