Can turbotax undo finalization of my return?

What do you mean finalization? Have you submitted the efile yet? If you haven't efiled, mailed it or printed it you can change anything you want and even clear and start over.

After my efile got rejected, turbotax recommended mailing the return the return instead. When I chose file by mailing, turbotax said it was finalizing my return and that it could no longer be changed. I was thinking of calling them on Monday to see if they could open up my return.

Click on Add a State to let you back into your retun. You can change anything you want before you file. Why did it reject? We can probably tell you how to fix it to efile.
