You are posting from the Free Edition.   The Free Edition can only be used for VERY simple tax returns.  TurboTax is no longer participating in the IRS Free File program if that is what you think is being hidden.  There are eight other software versions available for free on the IRS site.

Every year it gets more difficult to file for free even though I'm doing it the same way and every year I get bait and switched until I spend 30 minutes looking for whichever convoluted method they've invented for that year. I dont mind paying for my taxes. It's the fact that it always starts free and then I have to look up how to make it work. I dont care what excuses they have; it's a scummy practice. Have a good day

Keep in mind that TT must pay its employees, and simply cannot give everything away for free.
