How do I apply a credit for money repaid? IRS Publication 525

If the money that you repaid was taxed in a prior year then you can enter it as a deduction into TurboTax by making a miscellaneous income entry in a negative amount for the part that was repaid.

If the money was not taxed in a prior year then you can't take a deduction for it.
