Hi to all. I'm using TurboTax Premier Online for the 1st time. I can view/print 2024 Form 2210 from my 2024 desktop version. TT calculated an underpayment penalty, but I can't view the form to understand the calculations. I searched Form 2210 in the Tax Tools search section, but that just takes me to the input process. Can I view this form with the online version? Thanks in advance.

If you have an underpayment penalty on your return, you can go to the Underpayment Penalty interview and answer the questions. Select Other Tax Situations from the left side menu, and look for Underpayment Penalty under Additional Tax Payments.
You can choose the annualized method of calculating the penalty if your income fluctuates, which may reduce the penalty. If you believe you may qualify for a waiver of the penalty, you can also request a waiver in that section.
You can preview forms in TurboTax Online. See here for details. You may need to pay for your Online product, if you haven't already, to access all of the forms and worksheets.
My return is completed and I've purchased the online Premier subscription. I've used each of the 3 options included in the Print Center and neither option provides Form 2210 for viewing. I'm want to view the form so i understand how my underpayment penalty was calculated.
Follow the steps below and it should provide you with all worksheets and forms.
You have access to all forms when you choose to print your return in TurboTax Online/Mobile. However you are required to pay before printing, but do not have to file until you are ready.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop you can switch to Forms and review all forms and worksheets.
Talked to TT. Here's the reason, I'm not able to view the 2210. Even though TT calculated a penalty, TT will not create a 2210 for printing/viewing because the Fed does not require the form unless I annualize my income, I've had a filing status change, or a couple of other reasons. I feel that they should provide the calculation for the penalty even though the Fed doesn't require it. They committed to report this as a defect/enhancement.
Thank you for the update and regarding a future enhancement to the form in TurboTax. The form does show in the Desktop version.
If you wanted to get the form to print even though it is otherwise not needed in your return, you could go back to the Underpayment Penalty interview and select the option to request a waiver of the penalty.
