Can our 19-year old daughter use a 1040ez to file her taxes? We claimed her as a dependent, she made $1700 last year however she received a 1098-t?

Under the new tax laws there is only a 1040 form with Schedules 1-6 attached if relevant.  The 1040EZ and 1040A have been eliminated. The 1040EZ is equivalent to not having any schedules attached.

Since she made only $1,700 last year, if this was not from self-employment then she can file using TurboTax Free Edition.

Since you claimed her as a dependent, the 1098T goes on YOUR return--only the person claiming the dependent can use the education credit.
