Can I write off a 1098-T if I pay 50% of my son's college. My ex husband claims my son as a dependent and I claim my daughter.

In order to claim the education credit, the eligible student must be you, your spouse, or a dependent for whom you claim an exemption. If you do not claim your son as an exemption, then you cannot claim the credit.
