can i use the 1040 form still, with a tax credit IRS form 1095A ? I had Covered California in 2025.

Yes. Form 1040 is your Federal tax return.

If you have a Covered California policy, you have to enter form 1095-A.

1. In TurboTax Online, open your return
2. Click on Search (magnifying glass icon) at the top right of your screen
3. In the Search box, enter form 1095-A and click on the magnifying glass icon
4. In the search result box, click on Jump to form 1095-A
5. TurboTax will take you directly to the section where you can start entering your form 1095-A.

Everyone prepares and files their federal return on Form 1040.    1095A is a tax document that you must enter on your 1040.

A 1040 is the tax return form you prepare here to send to the IRS.   If you start entering data in this software you are preparing a Form 1040.   Please look at it so you will know what you are sending to the IRS:
