Can I treat September as covered even if it’s not marked with X on 1095C? It has code 2D. I started working on 9/18, coverage started on the day; effective date 10/1

Is September the only month that is marked as not being covered?

Yes, I have my my student health insurance covered through August. September is the only one unmarked but has code 2D. Then October, November, December are marked with X.   I started working 9/18 last year and was told that I have insurance covered on the day right away (although the effective day is 10/1).  I think 2D stands for a waiting period? So can I still treat September as covered?

I would enter the information into TurboTax exactly as it appears on your form in order to avoid questions from the IRS. The good news is that this is considered a short gap in coverage, and there is no penalty associated with this entry.
