Can I Transfer Desktop TurboTax Files to New Account?

I have been doing my taxes from my family desktop Turbotax version on Windows for the past few years. I no longer live with my parents. If I get the desktop version for Mac, can I transfer my records over?

yes. you would need the prior year tax file (xxxx.tax2023) to put on your own computer. the only place that file would be is on the old computer. Turbotax does not have copies of tax files done with desktop.

  You would need the installation CD and access to the account login and password of the person using it and the license code.  All you need to have is the pdf copy of your tax return if you want to review it on your Mac and to save for your records.
