Yes, alimony received is taxable (gross) income for the recipient
The one proviso is if the divorce or separation agreement is executed by December 31, 2018 the alimony would be taxable. If the divorce or separation agreement is executed after 12/31/2018 then it is not reported on a tax return and is not included in gross income.
