Can i resubmit tax returns from 2020

If you filed a 2020 tax return and it was accepted by the IRS, you do not resubmit the tax return again.  If you need change something on the 2020 return you will have to amend the return.

If you change the 2020 tax return where the changes result in a tax refund, the IRS will not pay the refund.  The time to amend a 2020 return for a refund has expired as of May 17, 2024.

If IRS has no record of your 2020 tax return you have to mail another signed copy.
