Can I remove the W2 information and get it to clear?

I cannot get a W2 to clear from my return.  I have no information listed as a W2.  I only get a SSA1099.  I keep getting an error when I run the check Federal.

Go to Forms mode in upper right,

Then in left side open the W-2 in the list of Forms

Then in the lower border click on Delete of the W-2 Form
