I did not receive any notification of a new tax ID pin, how do I get it?

The 6 digit Identity Protection PIN is issued by the IRS and sent to you in the mail if you reported an identity theft to the IRS.

Go to this IRS website to retrieve the IP PIN - https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
