Can I put that I had or didnt have insurance for all of 2018? My employer for the first part of 2018 did not provide insurance. I got a new job in may 2018 and they did.

Yes, you can select the months you had insurance and only have a penalty for the months you did not have insurance. To select insurance for part of the year, once fully logged in do the following:

• Click Federal
• Click Health Insurance
• Select You had insurance all year or  I'll pick and choose which months
• Click Continue
• Select the Months you had insurance and click continue
• Continue through to answer the rest of the questions and to see if you qualify for a penalty waiver.
