Can I omit W2 with only box 14 (CASDI) for Federal and California tax return?

Can I omit W2 with only box 14 (CASDI) for Federal and California tax return?

Here is my situation.

I have three W2 for this year. One(#1) regular W2 from my employer and two(#2,#3) W2s from a lawsuit settlement.

#1,#2 W2s have most of boxes populated while #3 has only box 14 filled with CASDI of $0.07

TT saids due to #3 W2 with box 1 being zero, I can’t e-file both federal and my CA return.

#1 and #3 W2s have the same EIN for Box B while the employer’s name/address in Box C are little different(a slight difference in Employer’s name but the address is totally different. #3 W2 box C address is matching to #2 W2 box C address since #2,#3 W2s are from the lawsuit settlement)

Could you please advise what would be the safest option to avoid any trouble with IRS/and CA return? (if I still want to avoid paper filing)

Any other recommendations are also welcomed.

  1. Can I simply omit #3 W2 (that has only box 14 filled with CASDI of $0.07)?
    1. It looks like nothing changed on TT about the amount I owe/refund when I tried to delete this #3 W2
  2. Can I omit #3 W2 and add its CASDI of $0.07 to #1 W2 box 14 entry ?
    1. #1 W2 box 14 already has CASDI with some amount
    2. #1 and #3 W2s are having same EIN for box B but name/address in box C are different
  3. Can I simply add $1 to #3 W2 box1 entry ?

Thank you for your time/help on reviewing my question.

I say go with #2.  Add the #3  7 cents SDI to W2 #1 box 14 since the EIN is the same.  Or just leave off that W2 completely.
