The TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions and the TurboTax online editions are totally separate programs with separate price points.
You would have to purchase the TurboTax online edition that you need even though you have already purchased the Premier desktop CD/Download edition.
The TurboTax desktop editions are far superior than the online editions. The desktop editions include one free state program download included in the purchase price. The online editions require you to purchase a state program at an additional charge of $44.99. The desktop editions come with 5 free federal e-files plus you can create as many tax returns as needed at no further cost. The online editions can only be used to file one tax return per account and User ID. The desktop editions have direct access to all forms, schedules and worksheet through Forms mode. The online editions have no access to any forms, schedules or worksheets. The desktop editions are installed on a personal computer where you have access to the tax return at any time without the need for an internet connection, except for updates, downloads or to e-file a tax return. The online editions can only be accessed using an internet connection.
