NO!!!!!   They go to completely separate addresses!   Read the mailing instructions that print out with the returns and mail them correctly.  Your federal form 1040 goes to the IRS.   Your Nebraska state return will go to the state of Nebraska.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

@amybmciver   Though, you do have to be a bit careful.....depending on what you meant.

For mailed-in NE State tax returns, NE DOES require you to also send a copy of the Federal tax return in the same mailing envelope along with the NE tax forms.   When printing for mail filing, the tax software should also print out that extra Federal copy following the NE forms.

_______

But as noted...For your Separate mail-filing of Federal taxes with the IRS  (IF you are mail-filing Federal too), the Federal tax forms do need to go to an IRS address.

________

Not sure why you are mail-filing in the first place. Yes, some states have delayed their e-filing, and maybe NE has been affected too....but that's up to you.
