Can I import last years tax return which was done on turbo tax for windows into the turbo tax mac version?

I run parallels on Mac and have always done my taxes in the Windows version.  I have windows 8.1, and Turbo Tax for windows will no longer  run on anything less than Windows 10.  So I'm wondering if I can just load my cd for this year on the Mac version, and import last years return which was done on the windows version.  Hope this is clear- does anyone know the answer?

Yes, you can transfer your 2021 information from Windows into your 2022 return using a Mac.  Make sure you have the 2022 CD for Mac.

How do I transfer last year's return into the 2022 TurboTax software for Mac?

To transfer info from your 2021 TurboTax for Mac return:

1. Open TurboTax for Mac 2022 and choose File New Tax Return.
2. Select Begin and choose Use a tax return that's on my computer.
3. Select your 2021 return from the list and select Continue.
   • If you don't see your return, select Find your tax return.
   • If your 2021 return is on another computer, here's how to move it to your present computer.
4. Select Continue to review the transferred information. We'll also give you opportunities to review, edit, or delete transferred information later on.

Be aware that once you've gone past the Transfer screens, you can't go back to revisit them. If you need to re-do your transfer, go back to step 1 to start over with a new return.
