TurboTax Free Edition is an online-only product that handles simple 1040EZ and 1040A returns with the standard deduction. It's designed for filers who:

Made less than $100,000
Don't own a home or rental property
Didn't sell investments
Don't own a business or have 1099-MISC income
Don't have any major medical expenses

If your 2017 income only came from wages, Social Security, or interest and you don't have many (or any) deductions, TurboTax Free Edition is the way to go.
